The Death Pretzels are Buffalo’s only Emily Brontë inspired prog rock band (that we know of…) The brainchild of Amanda Besl, this conceptual band first appeared in Besl’s debut film Transit of Venus.

Where does your band name come from?
The Death Pretzels name originated from the combining of two ideas: an emphasis on mortality in Brontë’s writing and the existence of an astronomical phenomena of binary stars that looks very much like a pretzel.
Who are the band members?
Currently the band consists of:
Nigel Bunnyman on lead vocals
Augusta Almeda doing pretty much everything else
Snyder Mark: roadie extraordinaire
What’s up with that creepy rabbit head?
Salty, a blue/green rabbit is the band’s logo. Perhaps it is Nigel trying to be edgy.
What do fans call themselves?
Devoted fans refer to themselves as “Saltheads.”
